obama job killer

Obama the Businessman Slayer

by Robert P. Heslin, for Touchdowns.com

For the whole of his adult life, Barack Obama has been a creature of the governing elite. Reminiscing in Dreams From My Father he does, however, describe a brief interlude in the private sector, just after college, working as a research assistant for a multinational corporation. He (or perhaps Bill Ayers) writes:

Like a spy behind enemy lines, I arrived every day at my mid-Manhattan office, and sat at my computer terminal, checking the Reuters machine that blinked bright emerald messages from across the globe."

"Like a spy behind enemy lines."

It is a sobering thing to consider that a man with such a mindset now occupies (so to speak) the Oval Office. For the last three years, we have been treated to the political and social spectacle of an American President who is deeply hostile to American business. Is it any wonder that the laws promulgated by this man and his party have had a terrible impact on the private sector of this country? Of course not.

Below we present, if not for your reading pleasure, then at least for your information, a more or less blow-by-blow list of the damage, to be updated regularly.

Obama USDA delays shale drilling, up to 200,000 Jobs

President Obama's United States Department of Agriculture has delayed shale gas drilling in Ohio for up to six months by cancelling a mineral lease auction for Wayne National Forest (WNF). The move was taken in deference to environmentalists, on the pretext of studying the effects of hydraulic fracturing.

Labor Leaders Tell Obama: Stop Killing Jobs

As 9.1 percent unemployment plagues America this Labor Day, major unions are clashing with a Democratic administration with which they normally would march in lock-step. Echoing the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, at least eight unions are begging Team Obama to abandon regulations, statements, and procedures that prevent jobs from being created or saved.

Too Much Regulation Is Damaging Economy, Killing Jobs

Red Tape: Seeing it's vulnerable on the issue of job-killing regulation, the White House is pushing back with media spin and misleading studies. Unfortunately, some conservatives have taken the bait.

2)

In Michigan, Obamacare is Already a Job-Killer

While the White House continues its rhetoric on job creation, the job-killing effects of Obamacare are already taking effect. One provision of the law, its tax on medical device manufacturers, is already having a detrimental impact on a Michigan-based manufacturer.

1)

Government the Job Killer

When government isn't killing jobs by sucking money out of the private sector, it kills jobs by smothering the private sector with regulation.
