Sharron Angle Victory a Victory
for Tea Party Movement

Sharon Angle's stunning victory in Nevada is emblematic of what the Tea Party Movement is about. There was no political machine behind her, no good-old-boys network handling the funding, the publicity, or campaign logistics behind the scenes. Just like Scott Brown in Massachusetts, there was just one passionate, committed person putting in long hours and traveling many miles to speak to uncounted tea party groups. Sharron spoke boldly about her principles and about values that most Americans are starved for and want to see reaffirmed by their elected representatives.

Accusations by critics that the Tea Party Express is just a Republican plant in the Tea Party Movement are untrue. The Tea Party Express's raison d'être is to elect conservative candidates of high character.

The Tea Party Express sounded the call to arms on behalf of Sharron Angle and the tea partiers answered without hesitation. With the primary behind us, our eyes turn to November, and what undoubtedly will be a hard-fought battle with the baleful Harry Reid. It's now up to Angle's vanquished challengers to lick their wounds and join forces with her. Toppling Harry Reid is bigger than any one candidacy or state. His defeat is critical to preserving and restoring America to the standards and ideals intended by our Founding Fathers.

Let no-one have any illusions. As the victor of the Republican primary, Sharron Angle has a target on her back now. The liberal media will mark her for destruction in Nevada. Expect them to attack her visciously. Expect the Tea Party Movement to be treated in similar fashion.

A bombastic campaign against Sharrron Angle is surely in the works. All the usual liberal/democrat memes will be rolled out, starting with the obligatory "Republicans are racist" charge. Then the libs will howl that the tea partiers are racist too. Therefore the same must go for Angle, since the movement supports her. So goes the left's imbecilic logic. While the accusations are ridiculous and false, they will be effective to a certain extent with that part of the electorate that can always be counted on not to pay much attention.

In a perfect world it wouldn't be necessary to say, but say it we must in this imperfect time and place: the Tea Party patriots care nothing about Obama's race. They oppose his hard-left socialist/statist agenda.

Unfortunately for the left, Sharron Angle is only the first of many candidates to come out of the Tea Party Movement. The media has drunk the socialist kool-aid. They've lost much of their audience, their profitability, and their credibility in the process. Still it doesn't seem to matter to them. They will not report truthfully about Obama and his agenda.

Another line of attack we can expect from the Dems and their media water-boys is the corruption charge. "Republican Mark Foley yadda yadda yadda..." "Republican Mark Sanford yadda yadda yadda..." "Republican Larry Craig yadda yadda yadda..." But let a Democrat politician run afoul morally and just try to find out from the media what their political affiliation is.

When you stop and think about it, liberals and MSMers have a decidedly strange way of looking at things. They seem to think that because fallible human beings sometimes fall short of their own standards, it must be hypocritical to have them at all. The failings and clay feet of "goody two shoes" conservatives caught sinning become malicious entertainment as a result.

Should we lower our standards then? No. Certainly not. But perhaps we should not be so hasty to hang our conservative brethren from the highest tree upon their slightest fall from grace.

We are in a momentous battle for our freedom, our liberty and our culture. We are fighting an enemy as remorseless and implacable as the T-1000 in the movie "Terminator 2". The liberals and their media minions are tireless advocates of statism. So we must be equally tireless advocates of freedom and liberty, as we support our Tea Party candidates.
